恭喜發財! Happy Chinese New Year!

恭喜發財! Happy Chinese New Year!

Yes, I know. I'm cute in that outfit! Yes, I know. I do look good in red.

So, this is my first Chinese New Year. I knew Daddy has been on the phone in the past few days talking to my Grandparents wishing them good health, money, good health, and money. I also overheard that people are wishing me to 'fast tall grow big.' Yeah, if you don't understand it in English, don't expect me to understand it in Chinese either! Why do they want me to grow up so fast? I'm just happy at where I am. I get to cry whenever I want; I get to stick my entire fist inside my mouth whenever I want... even when Daddy threatens to put tobassco on my fingers. (Yeah, try me, Daddy! I'm so scare that my legs are shaking! If you do that to me, I'll tell Grandma!)

Technically speaking, the New Year was on Thursday. But since Daddy had to work on Thursday and Friday, we didn't visit my Grandparents until over the weekend.

First stop, Riverside! We arrived there at approximately 5pm on Saturday afternoon, and as always, everyone wants to hold me. I was so busy that day, I hardly had time to cry at all! For the record, the first 利是 that I received for the New Year was from Aunt Juanita (see picture!) Once that started, all the 利是 just kept on coming! I even received a special one from Grandma! Because when Grandma was handing out 利是 to everyone, there were any writings on the 利是, but mine got some special messages. Anyway, it was a very fun evening, and we didn't get home almost 1am!

Second stop, Arcadia! We arrived there at approximately 6pm on Sunday afternoon, just in time for dinner... for the grown ups! I also received a ton of 利是 from Grandma and Grandpa! As you can see from the pictures, Grandpa was especially happy when I was in his arms. The picture below give you an idea of how many 利是 I have received! On last count, according to Daddy, the total amount of 利是 collected comes out to be $26.92! But Daddy said it's still isn't enough for me to buy some toys. I guess I just have to save up for a few more years.

And all these activities made me really tired as you can see from the picture below. And we didn't get home until almost 11pm.

Overall, it was a very fun and eventful weekend! Not to mention that I got to receive so many 利是. I hope you all like the pictures! Once again, Happy Chinese New Year!
