Today, Mommy and Daddy took me out to have lunch with her old schoolmates. Yes, people that actually went to (the same) school with Mommy (and in this case, Daddy as well). It means that these people must have known Mommy and Daddy for at least 80+ years!
So we arrived at this vegetarian restaurant and the first thing that I saw… Hellloooo!?
こんにちは. わたしの名前は Addison – dess!
Whoo la la! A Japanese girl! I didn’t know Mommy and Daddy went to school in Japan!!? One look at Daddy and he immediately introduced me to Aunt Sherry and her daughter Yuna. It turns out that Aunt Sherry is the one who went to the same school with Mommy and Daddy… in Hong Kong, and it is her husband who is Japanese.
We sat down for a while and it wasn’t long before Aunt Winnie showed up with his latest boyfriend, Alex.
Throughout the luncheon, I was a bit cranky because I didn’t know that there will be a girl joining me for lunch, and I felt that I wasn’t at my best… to impress. Furthermore, as you can see from this video below, I was sitting way too far away from Yuna, and I was so worried that Yuna couldn’t get close to me.
Fortunately, Yuna later had a chance to come closer to me. I have to say I was very impressed by her demeanor because most girls wouldn’t be able to control themselves once they get within touching distance of me. I guess the fact that Aunt Sherry (Yuna’s Mom) was there did play a factor.
Needless to say, both Yuna and myself stole the show all afternoon. Here’s a video of Aunt Winnie playing with Yuna and me.
Last but not least, here are just a few pictures that Daddy took today.
Okay, people! When I was in my Mommy’s tummy, my Guest List looks like this.
It has been almost a month since I announced that I will be having a younger brother, or sister, come July of this year. And this is what his/her Guest List looks like.
Yes! Sad, isn’t it? No one cared to drop my future brother/sister a note to congratulate him/her for having such a good looking older brother! And when I wrote ‘no one’, it literally means that the Guest List has zero entry! (At time of typing this post.)
I don’t know about you, but I certainly do NOT look forward to explaining this phenomenon to my younger brother/sister. After all, what do you expect me to tell him/her? Do you want me to tell him/her that because I’m better looking and that’s why more people signed my Guest List? Or do you want me to tell him/her that people just like me better than him/her?
So instead of having myself to deal with this ‘explanation’ in a few years’ time, I’m just going to point him/her to YOU! And you know who you are! Oh, and let me warn you ahead of time… it might be easier if it turns out that I’m having a younger brother. If it happens to be a younger sister… I’m sure you all know how girls are like when they are upset! Just don’t come running to me to find out what kind of girly dolls she likes!
Once again, posting has been light lately because of the various tasks that I have been doing these days. I didn’t know that the older you can, the more work that you have to do. Looking at Mommy’s tummy now, I asked myself if I rather be the one who is living inside Mommy’s tummy now? Or do I rather be the big brother? I think I’ll stick with being the big brother for now.
So what do you think of that picture above? Do you think we look alike? That’s Daddy to the left, and me on the right. Daddy’s picture was taken when he was living in Taiwan. My picture was taken during the Chinese New Year Week, when I spent the week at Grandma and Grandpa’s house in Riverside. As for the cars, I didn’t find out where did that car come from (on the left); but I can tell you that the BMW convertible is Grandma’s car.
Anyway, back to the picture(s)! If you like this picture on top, then you’re going to like all the pictures that Daddy took during that Chinese New Year Week holiday.
Meanwhile, here are some pictures that Daddy touched up, from Grandma’s collection.
Here is a video of me having some fun in Grandma’s BMW and Grandpa’s truck!
With so many pictures and videos, it has taken me longer than I thought to get them processed and uploaded. Finally, they are all done, and I’m proud to share with you some of the highlights of my Chinese New Year week-long celebration at Grandma and Grandpa’s place in Riverside.
Chinese New Year Day (年初一)
Since we were at my other Grandparents house for dinner last night, we didn’t get home until late. To make things worst, Daddy noticed the tire of our car was running flat, and he was a bit concern if the tire can do another 70 miles trip to Grandma’s house. So the first thing that Daddy did this morning was to brought the car to a Tire shop for check-up. The prognosis of both rear tires were not good, and Daddy decided to get some new tires. Which means that by the time he got home, it was already late in the morning. With packing has yet to be completed, we did not leave the house until 1pm in the afternoon.
(By the way, just in case you are wondering, Daddy took a week off from work to celebrate Chinese New Year with the family.)
After an hour or so driving, we arrived at Grandma’s house, and immediately, she fell in love with my outfit! Seriously, how could you not? Here’s a video of me playing basketball with my Chinese New Year outfit.
What I had almost forgotten, was that I bought a birthday gift for Uncle Chris back in December. And I thought it was a great opportunity to present to him his belated birthday gift, on Chinese New Year day!
Then towards the evening, I got to sit by the Mahjong table for the first time!
And here are some pictures…
Chinese New Year Day 2 (年初二)
I pretty much spent the entire day doing what you see in the video below. Let me tell you, I was so tired by evening that I fell asleep immediately. Grandpa and Grandma’s house was just too big for me to be running around non-stop all day.
Chinese New Year Day 3 (年初三)
Aunt Phoebe arrived today from Hong Kong this morning. Not that I didn’t get enough attention in the past few days, but with Aunt Phoebe around, I’m just going to get even more attention. Otherwise, I pretty much did the exact same things as I did in the past few days… which is playing my toys. However, I was also introduced to a new toy today! It’s the organ. No one has told me that the organ has been sitting there since the day I was born. Had it not for the brilliance thinking of my dear Grandma, who thought that I might be interested in expressing the musical side of me, I would have never gotten the chance to play this fine piece of of music instrument!
Here's a video of me playing my toys while getting everybody’s attention.
Here are some pictures that we took on this Day 3 of Year of Ox…
Chinese New Year Day 4 (年初四)
I’m beginning to get used to living in Riverside by now! There are so much room for me to run around the house that I didn’t even think I was at home. I thought I was at the playground! Today continues to be another day of running around the house, and taking plenty of pictures. By request, I put on the same outfit that I wore on Chinese New Year Day 1, just so that Aunt Phoebe can take a few pictures with me in such outfit. I was told that I brought shines to the outfit, and I made it look even more expensive! For the record, it was my dear Grandma who bought this outfit for me while she was in HKG just a few months ago. Yes, I know I'm good looking. You don’t have to tell me.
Chinese New Year Day 5 (年初五)
It’s time to go home! We woke up and after breakfast, Mommy and Daddy started to pack. We arrived home by mid-afternoon, and things slowly returned to normal. It’s been a fun and exciting week. Once again, Happy Chinese New Year to you all!
Now that I’m back at home after a week-long celebration at Grandma’s house, I can finally find some time to update my blog.
First off, Chinese New Year’s Eve! We went to Grandma and Grandpa house in Arcadia for our Chinese New Year’s Eve Dinner, also known as 團年飯. (For the record, Chinese New Year’s Eve was last Sunday, January 25.)
We got there a bit early and I spent some time running around the house, while Grandma and Grandpa were busy preparing dinner. As the evening approached, all the Grand-Aunts and Grand-Uncles started to arrive. There were lots of people there. Aunt Annie, Uncle Joseph, and Uncle Steven were there too. Unfortunately, my cousin, Annabelle, couldn’t make it because Aunt Vivian took her back to Malaysia to celebrate Chinese New Year. I guess she just has to wait until next time to find out how much more handsome I am since she last saw me.
As you can see from the pictures below, I wasn’t kidding when I said there were lots of people there! I guess when it is 團年飯, it really means business, and you better show up! I’m glad that I did!
Right after dinner, I spent more time running around the house, and this time, I had the help of Grand-Aunt Jean, who was kind enough to take the time to show me the best way to take a step up a stair.
Later on, it was time for Grandpa to play with me!
And of course, before we left, Grandma gave us all 利是 to ring in the New Year!
Today is the first day of Chinese New Year (of Ox). Also known as 大年初一. We woke up early this morning and immediately, we hurried to get ready to leave the house to Grandma’s house in Riverside to 拜年.
While I stole the show with cameras snapping non-stop, as usual, everyone kept telling me that I need to soon share my toys with… who again?
It will be the Year of Ox! May this year be a “bull run” year for Daddy, so that he can buy me more toys! May this year be full of joy for Mommy, like a laughing cow.
Today is Mommy’s birthday, and Daddy took a day off from work to spend the day with Mommy and I.
We started the day with my usual wake-up hours, followed by some breakfast fed by Daddy. Mommy got to sleep-in because… it’s her birthday! A bit later, when Mommy woke up, we immediately got dressed and headed out to lunch!
We had our lunch at this French Bakery in South Coast Plaza. Mommy ordered a crepes, while Daddy ordered a sandwich. Here are some pictures…
After lunch, we headed back to the store where Daddy bought Mommy's birthday gift. Daddy picked up all the wrong sizes, and Mommy had to exchange them all.
Afterwards, we walked around the shopping mall for a bit, and Daddy bought me a pair of Puma-Ferrari shoes! Not only they look good, they also look fast! Yes, I know today is not my birthday… but they were on sale!
Since we had an early dinner reservation, it didn’t take long before it was time to head to the restaurant. And Daddy picked Roy’s at Newport Beach to celebrate Mommy’s Birthday tonight. I’ve heard good reviews of Roy’s. But not until I tasted their dishes, I am convinced that Roy knows how to prepare a real seafood dish! Their food is so yummy! And the deserts were just too yummy to use any word to describe it! Check out these photos and put your imagination and taste buds in high gear!
To top off the evening, we even received a souvenir from Roy’s. A picture of Mommy, Daddy, and Myself! (Daddy thinks that I look like Aunt Zabrina (when she was young, many years ago) in this picture. What do you think?)
Those of you who are old like my Dad, or older than my Dad, I’m sure you have seen this commercial before.
And if you don’t know what’s the big deal about this commercial, then let me tell you that my Uncle Chris is featured in this commercial. And just in case you don’t recognize him, he appears in the 51st second into the commercial.
So when Daddy showed me this video, I asked Daddy: “What is Uncle Chris looking at? What’s on the other side of the fence?”
Daddy said: “I don’t know. I’ll ask him for you.”
Daddy called Uncle Chris in Hong Kong and asked: “Hey, my Son wants to know what’s on the other side of the fence when you shot your 維他奶 commercial.”
Uncle Chris: “Girls. Plenty of Girls.”
Daddy said: “Go back to sleep! You are not talking sense. Sorry to woke you up.”
Well, you should all know by now that I was at Aidan’s Birthday party yesterday. And during the party, something happened that told me that… Uncle Chris was not lying! When you’re so good looking, it’s not unusual to have girls standing on the other side of the fence looking at you! And if you don’t believe me, look at this video below, and pay attention to the left side of the screen!
That poor girl! She must have waited for a long time before she had the courage to approach me, or to even try to touch me. She was totally throwing herself at me… even thought there was a fence there. But her Mom just made the decision (for her) that her daughter is not good enough for me. I hope she didn’t cry too much last night. More importantly, I hope she will forgive her Mom for dragging her away from me. Anyway, although I don’t know who she is, but just in case she has found this web site, and has been secretly reading my blog, repeatedly, I just want to tell her… “Hi! It was nice seeing you!”
Oh, and Uncle Chris… I knew you were telling the truth!
I can’t believe that January of 2009 is not even over yet, and I have already attended my first party! It is a birthday party of Aidan, who is the son of my Mommy’s good friend, Judy. It’s his 3-year old birthday and his Mommy and Daddy threw him a party at Jump ‘n Jammin in Arcadia.
As you can see from the video below, this place is massive! And it is full of kids! Kids that are a bit older than me. It’s okay, because I don’t mind being the youngest in the crowd. But the thing is… they are allowed to run around everywhere, while I have to hold Mommy or Daddy’s hand most of time. Daddy told me that if I don’t hold him tight, these kids were going to ran me over. I dare them!
“I don’t recommend you go there if you have even a bit of a headache.” Daddy said.
Of course I disagreed with Daddy! Because there were so many things to do there. For example, you can see from the video below that I was doing slides…
Even if I was doing nothing particular, you can still see from this video below that I had fun playing with that giant cushion.
I was having so much fun that I almost forgotten that I was there to celebrate Aidan’s Birthday! So when it was time for food and cake, we headed off to a dining room inside this complex...
And yes, those are all Guests of Aidan. And if you don’t believe me, check out this video when everyone in the room sings Happy Birthday to him.
Yeah, he wasn’t that responsive by then because his parents thought that he was tired, and in need of a nap. But the fact was, I knew he just had too much to drink when he was sitting with those girls.
When most people were ready to leave the party after all the food and cake, Daddy wanted to try the big-boys-slide at least once before we leave. Here’s a video of it…
No, I didn’t like it. I prefer the Small-Boys-Slide for now.
Here are some pictures that we took from the party…
Hello, Folks! How was your Holiday? It’s been a while since I last posted to my blog, because I wanted to take a short break from blogging, so that I can enjoy all the cool toys that I received this past Christmas. Now that the holiday is over, it’s time for Daddy to get back to work, while I get back to my normal routine napping schedule.
Today, I want to show you a short video that Daddy took, showing me walking sideway, or “打橫行”(in Chinese.) According Mommy and Daddy, it’s not all that bad if one can “打橫行”in a company, at home, or even in a relationship. But Daddy said he only let me “打橫行”at home because he was video-taping me. Otherwise, Daddy said, I wil not be “打橫行-ing” all that much, especially when he’s around.
Remember my New Year’s Eve party from last year? Daddy said we won’t be partying this year because I need to go to bed way before midnight. Personally, I blame Uncle Chris for not being around because if he’s here, Daddy would have taken me to Grandma’s place to ring in the new year, just so that Daddy and Uncle Chris can play their favorite game.
Well, since I won’t be staying up late tonight… to all my Families and Friends from around the world, Happy New Year to you!
As 2008 comes to an end, I want to take a moment to thank all my fans from around the world for your continuous support of this site/blog! You have shown me the relationship between a good looking boy and good web-site traffic. And when your handsomeness is world class, your web-site’s viewers are automatically from worldwide. As you can see from this report below, my site had 2500+ visits in 2008, from more than 20 countries. These are some Matt Damon / Justin Timberlake numbers! No jokes!
The fact that I had 2 hits to my web-site from an iPhone shows that my fans just couldn’t stop thinking about me, even when they’re driving, shopping, pooping, walking, or waiting (for whatever.)
Below is a high-level summary of all the major statistic to my blog/site in 2008.
Today, we went out to have dinner with Grandma and Grandma at 鼎泰豐 restaurant in Arcadia. If you haven’t been there before, I highly recommend you to pay a visit to this place. Based on the look on Daddy’s face, I can tell that their food is good!
Right after dinner, we went back to Grandma and Grandpa’s house. Here’s a video of Grandma asking for an “Addison Kiss.”
And 'no', I wasn't trying to run away. I was just trying to play with Bagel, the dog.
Yesterday was Christmas Day, and I spent most of the day at Grandma and Grandpa’s house in Riverside. We left the house right before my first nap so that I get to take my first nap in the car. Unfortunately, according to Daddy, traffic was so bad that it took him 1.5 hours to get to Grandma’s house. By the time we got there, it was already way past the lunch hours. But that still didn’t stop them for having hot pot for lunch. And right after lunch, it’s time to open my presents!
As you can see from this video, my outfit was rather festive. Here, I was doing some warm-up exercise to prepare for all those presents that I had to open.
There are so much to show you, I’m not going to waste time to give you an opening spiel.
These 2 videos below shows how Grandma helped me open my first present. Yes, the present was almost as tall as myself!
Here is another video of me opening another gift. By then, Grandma and Grandpa had visitors to their housel. Emily is the lady that you see in this video, and her husband, Mike, live next door to Grandma and Grandpa. They are very good friends of Grandma and Grandpa. Today, they brought gifts over to celebrate Christmas with us.
Remember the first present that Grandma helped me to open? The one that was almost as tall as me? This video below shows a test-drive of my new toy.
(There were just too much noise/conversations in the background that Daddy decided to overlay these 2 videos with a few looping beats. Daddy asked if anyone can guess the song name. If you know, be the first to leave a comment after this post to let me know!)
As soon as I was done with the test-drive, it came another present. This time, this present is even taller than me, and I had my Grandpa helping me with the unwrapping. It turned out that this gift was a Basketball Hoop set! Yeah!
Although Aunt Phoebe and Uncle Chris are in Hong Kong, they didn’t forget about getting a Christmas present either! This video below shows that I was unwrapping this gift, with Daddy’s help, from Aunt Phoebe.
And this video shows me playing with my latest present from Aunt Phoebe that I just unwrapped.
He’s another video of me playing the same toy later that day. It turned out that I quite like this gift that Aunt Phoebe bought for me.
I hope you’re still able to follow this long post so far! Yeah, I know, I got lots of Christmas presents! But I can’t help it. When you have such a cute face like mine, who can resist not buying me any toys? (Actually, you don’t need to look any further than Daddy, to answer that question.)
Speaking of Daddy, enough of watching me unwrapping Christmas presents. Let’s take a look at a video of Daddy unwrapping his Christmas gifts.
By now, I’m sure you should figure out that ‘Chocolate/Food’ is always a safe bet if you ever wonder what kind of present to get for Daddy!
Last but not least, here is a video showing Grandma and Grandpa opening their Christmas presents, from me!
Oh, and I almost forgot… here are some photos of me spending my Christmas Day at Grandma’s house.
I hope this long post didn’t throw off too many viewers. It was a wonderful Christmas for me, and I hope that you all had a great Christmas celebration too!
To all my FFF (Fans, Friends, and Family) around the world, Merry Christmas!
Most of you should have received this VERY limited edition Christmas Card from Mommy and Daddy. If you haven’t, it doesn’t mean that you are any less important, nor less pretty/handsome… at least in my mind. Daddy told me that the needs to control the Supply of this limited edition Card so that the re-sell value of this card will be kept at a high price-point, despite the current economic down fall, in the coming years.
I am forecasting that it will be quite a few busy days for me because of all YOUR gifts and presents. Therefore, Blog posting will be a bit slow. Until I have some updated pictures and videos to post, may I invite you look back to just a year ago, to re-live how I spent my first Christmas.
As mentioned, Grandma and Grandpa took me to meet Santa yesterday. Here are some pictures that we took from home, after meeting Santa. It’s been a fun day at my Grandparents’ house. I spent plenty of time playing with them, as well as Great-Grandma! But as we were leaving their house last night, it was so cold that I don’t think I have ever experienced such low temperature. Fortunately, it was just a few steps from the garage to the car. Daddy already had the car warmed up for Mommy and Me!
Today, Great Grandma, Grandma, and Grandpa took Mommy, Daddy, and Myself to meet Santa! I have heard a lot of Santa recently and I’ve always wonder what does he looks like. I have been told that if I maintain my good behavior, Santa might even bring me a gift or two by the end of this month. Therefore, I was very eager to meet this Santa Dude to see what so cool about him.
So immediately after lunch, the whole family headed to the Shopping Mall to look for Santa. When we arrived there, we noticed that there is a long line, and that Daddy wasn’t too pleased about the price that one has to pay to just to sit on Santa’s lap! Fortunately, Grandma did NOT forget her handbag, and brought it along with her. Problem solved!
Here’s a video that Daddy took while Grandpa was holding me as we were waiting in line to meet Santa…
>
Here's the video of me getting ready to approach Santa, and later sat on his lap for my picture...
I'm a bit upset that Santa didn't ask me what I want for Christmas. Because Daddy gave me a list of things that he wants, and he told me to tell Santa that the list of items are actually what I want. Anyway, I think one of the reason why Santa didn't speak much to me is because he was stunned by my good look. As you can tell from the video, Santa really needs to go on a diet, and not to mention that there's certain room for improvement for his linguistic skills. Well, I hope he was able to picked up some Christmas Gifts hint from that short few minutes of interaction with me. I guess I'll find out in a few days. Here's a picture of me taken with Santa...
After Santa, we saw some coin-operated machines parked right next to Santa’s house, and of course, how could I miss such a good opportunity to try them for the first time. Little did Daddy know that those machines no longer cost 25 cents anymore. The market price for those cool rides is now 75 cents. This time, Grandpa was there to save the day!
I know my 1-year old birthday was a month ago, but I can’t help it if it took the Production crew this long to gather all the footages, edit them, and upload it to the news site! After all, I gave the approval to the final cut more than a week ago! I guess this is what happens when you out-source the work instead of doing the work in-house!
Anyway, here are some un-seen footages of my Big Day at Disneyland…
Why would anyone do this to a 1-year old? I don’t know. When I’m tired, I only want to go to sleep. No more standing around, sitting here or there, and certainly no more jokes. I want to go to bed and it’s that simple!
And when I’m asleep, I don’t like being waken up either. I mean, what were these people thinking? When I wake up too often from my sleep, they are not happy. Now that I’m sleeping, they want to wake me up! Can someone explain to me why?
