A Nap and A Chat

Here are 2 more videos from yesterday.

This first video shows Daddy holding me in his arms, trying to get me to take my afternoon nap. Once I was close to passing out, he put me down on my tilted-down high chair. I like sleeping in my high-chair because I get sit up-right and it helps me to create happy dreams during sleep.

The second video here shows a lengthy chat between Mommy and I right before bedtime. Pay attention to the shirt that I was wearing. It's a little mis-leading because I was told that my middle initial is a 'B', as opposed to something else that starts with a 'T'.

Hairclip, Stallion, and ABCs

This set of pictures below can be divided into 3 parts.

Part 1: That hairclip! When Mommy put that onto me, I thought she was putting a bluetooth headset on me. Just like the one that Daddy has. I guess not. She kept saying that my hair is a bit long, and it is bugging my eyes. Instead of cutting my hair short, she decided to put on this hairclip on me.

Part 2: My Stallion! If you saw my video a few days ago, you should know how well I ride this little horse. Nothing has changed. I'm still having just as much fun.

Part 3: ABCs! Mommy and Daddy bought me this cushioning mat for the floor so that I can spend more time jumping and sitting on the floor. I just happened to be lying underneath my own initials, and here are some pictures to share.

Grandma Stayed With Us for 2 Days!

Grandma has been staying with us since yesterday because she needs to attend a seminar, which is located very close to our home. Therefore, she decided to stay at our place for 2 nights, so that she can some quality time with his now formally precious one's son... the precious me!

As expected, Grandma came home as soon as the seminar is over, and spent all her time playing with me. The video below shows that I was playing with Grandma's hand, and later her watch caught my attention. At first Grandma took off her watch and let me played with it. But when I tried to bit the watch to find out if it's really 24k Gold, she took it away from me. And you can see what follows...

(Don't know why, but it appears the first 5 seconds of the video clip is freezed. As soon as it passes the 5 seconds mark, it will resume.)

Here's a video of Grandma singing to me. It was an okay song. I wasn't to thrilled with the lyrics.

Finally, after a wonderful meal (according to Grandma) prepared by Mommy, we sat around the table for some more quality time with Grandma and Mommy. More importantly, I finally experienced what quality ice-cream really taste like!

Last but not least, here are some pictures taken today.

My 6-Month Check-up!

My 6-Month Check-up was supposed to be yesterday, but when Daddy (who took a day-off from work) took me to the Doctor's Office, we learned that my Doctor didn't show up to work! So we had to re-schedule the appointment to today.

So today, we went to the doctor as soon as Daddy got off work. We didn't have to wait long before we were called into the office. Just like the last few times when I was here, Daddy was told to take off my clothes to weight-in once we arrived at the exam room. It looks like all the exercise that I have done has finally paid off! My weight actually dropped by 0.2 pounds from a month ago.

So shortly after my weight-in, my Doctor came in and started checking every part of my body. It turned out that both my height and weight are now slightly below average. However, the size of my head, according to the Doctor, is a bit above average. I wanted to, but didn't, tell the Doctor that the space inside my skull is no air! But since I overheard from Mommy and Daddy that I will having a few injection shots, I decided to be wise and stayed quiet. Overall, the Doctor said I'm in good health. But before he let us go, there were a few injections that I need to take. Crap!

As you can tell from the video above, we left the Doctor's office shortly after the shots. My next visit is scheduled when I turn 9 months old. See ya!

My First Stallion

No, it's not really a Ferrari. But close!

Grandma bought me this horse ride toy a few weeks back when I was a bit young to play it. I test rode it at Grandma's place back then, and I didn't like it that much. It must be the overwhelming horsepower that came it. A few weeks later, I was at Grandma's house, and gave this ride another try. I learned to like it a lot more, and therefore, Daddy brought it back home for me.

Check out the demonstration below.

My Grandma Bought Me This Shirt!

How do you like it? Daddy called it a Polo Shirt. I like to call it a shirt with buttons and a collar that makes it a bit difficult to put on... especially if Daddy is the one who tries to put it on me.

Anyway, I really like this shirt! Thanks, Grandma!

My 102nd Post!

Hmmm... I just noticed that this is my 102nd post on this blog. Looking at my web-site and counting backwards, my 100th post was actually my 6 months old birthday post! But as I'm getting bigger and smarter, it means I'm only getting busier with less time to post. Therefore, I doubt that I will hit 200 post prior to my 1 year old birthday. We shall see!

It has been a while since I last posted a video. So I thought it is about time for me to give you a video update on my physical ability. As you can see from this video below, I have recently mastered the skills of standing up with minimal help. All I need from Mommy or Daddy are just 1 finger from each hand. Speaking of hand, Daddy has been trying to tell me that my hands have its own name. I don't particularly like the name he picked, but he insisted. I mean, who would name something 'Left' and 'Right?' Besides, I still don't know which is which that he has been referring to.

Happy Mother's Day!

It's Mother's Day! My Mommy's first Mother's Day! It's also my Grandmas' first Mother's Day with me! And of course, this is also my first Mother's Day with Mommy and everybody!

Our celebration started on Saturday when we went to Riverside to meet Grandma and Grandpa. We brought flowers and cakes to Grandma and had dinner with her at her place. I would show you some pictures had Daddy remembered to copy the pictures from Grandpa's camera. We forgot to bring our camera! Well, as soon as I get hold of the pictures, I'll post them on this site.

Then on Sunday, we went out to have Dim Sum with my other Grandma and Grandpa. As usual, I didn't get to eat anything. However, I'm beginning to be given the opportunity to get a taste of the kind of food that they are eating. To me, that's a big step forward!

Happy Mother's Day, Mom! xoxoxoxo

I'm (10 x 0.05) Years Old Today!

Yes, my sad face was caused by the fact that Daddy told me I won't be getting a birthday cake until my (10 x 0.1) years old birthday! I don't understand what he's talking about! A birthday is a birthday! I'm too young for solving math equation anyway! It wasn't even like Daddy was good at math when he was at my age, or ever! So, why wasn't I allowed to have a birthday cake?

Fortunately, I still have Mommy who understands me!

Below are some more pictures taken the day after my 6 months birthday.

First Meeting with Aunt Gloria and Uncle Leon

Those flu-like symptoms are almost completely gone. It only means that it's time to party! Today, we went to Downtown Disney to meet with Daddy's long-time friend, Aunt Gloria. According to Daddy, Aunt Gloria knew Daddy back when they were merely a few years old. Well, since they both claimed that they are only in their late twenties, I guess they only knew each other for just 20 years or so... if not more.

Aunt Gloria, Uncle Leon, and their kids, Dylan and Lucas, are currently living in San Francisco. Both Dylan and Lucas are a bit older than I am. Therefore, I didn't get much chance to play with them. Besides, they all know how to talk, and I (pretended that I) don't. So there weren't much interaction between us during this my meeting with them. Hopefully, Daddy will take me to San Francisco for a visit someday, and maybe I will get another chance to really play with Dylan and Lucas.

Until next time, it was nice to meet you all!

Something is Still Stucked in My Nose!

First of all, I want to thank those who expressed their concerns of my well being in the past few days. Those are only some flu-like symptoms. No big deal! Although the stuffy nose is rather bothering at times. As long as I'm still allowed to scream and cry, I'm okay. Besides, I still haven't lost my appetite as you can see from the video below.

Below are some pictures... I told you so... I'm really okay!

Just A Bit Under the Weather

Yes, I think this past week I was partying too much! I've been sneezing and coughing. I couldn't breath because of nasal congestion, yet there were watery stuff flowing out of my nose. With the breathing difficulty, it just made eating and sleeping more difficult. Of course I wasn't too happy about it. Well, neither were Mommy and Daddy. So on Friday, Daddy left work early to take me to the doctor. Even though I've told them many times that I don't need to see the doctor, they insisted. Daddy even said he'll ask the doctor for some prescription strength Night-Quil for me. I think Night-Quil is some kind of medication for kids, right?

So we got to the doctor, and the first thing they did was to weight me. I came in at 18.6 pounds. Yes, I've gained weight again! But Mommy said I was above 19 pounds before I got sick. After the scale, we went to the examination room to wait for the Doctor. A few minutes later, the Doctor showed up. He pretty much checked me from head to toe. He checked my ears, looking for signs of ear infenction. He even stick this wooden stick into my mouth, and press it agianst my tongue to look for something. Well, whatever he was looking for, it wasn't there! The Doctor said I'm all good... looking! He told Mommy and Daddy that I don't need to take any medication, and they are to be on a lookout for potential fever over the weekend. Yup, that was it! I've told them I don't need to see the Doctor! When are they going to listen to me?

Yogurt Tastes Good!

Yes, I like yogurt. Especially the kind that Mommy eats. I'm okay with the kind that are made for kids. I'll take it! But if given the choice, I prefer Mommy's because it has strawberry or peach flavor.

Last night, we went out to dinner with Mommy's friend Uncle James and his family. They came from Arizona. If you were one of those who read that Golden Little Piggy blog about this baby who lives inside his Mommy's tummy, you should recall that Uncle James left quite a few comments there. It was my first time meeting Uncle James. He has 2 boys but they are much older than I am. He also bought me some gifts. Check them out from the pictures below.

A Busy Sunday!

I had a very busy Sunday!

Mommy and Daddy first took me to Uncle Chris' apartment to see if Uncle Chris has anything good that he forgot to bring with him back to Hong Kong. It turned out that there was this huge big screen TV sitting in the living room waiting for Daddy to take it away. Oh, did I mention that there's also a chair that moves?

Since it was my first time visit, I thought it was only appropriate to leave something behind at Uncle Chris' place as a token of appreciation. But since no one told me that we are visiting Uncle Chris' place ahead of time, I didn't prepare any gift. Instead I decided to poop and left behind a poopy diaper. Yes, Daddy forgot to take it out of the house when we left, so it's still sitting there! Since no one lives there right now... did I mention that all the windows were shut closed when we got there?

Anyway, before we left, I took a few pictures with Grandma at the parking lot. You can see that it was a very nice and sunny day, and I looked as good as Grandma!

So after our visit to Uncle Chris' place, we headed straight to a dinner event. Grand Aunt Jean and Grand Uncle Barton are celebrating their 40th Wedding Anniversary at a Restaurant in Monterey Park for dinner. It means that there will be plenty of food that I could only look at but not taste.

When we arrived, there were already a quite a few people there, and as soon as I walked into the room, all eyes were turned to me! Well, I can't help it! Everyone wanted to hold me and touch me. They all tried to talk to me. And at my age, the good thing is, I don't really have to respond to them. To tell you the truth, I was actually thinking if I should cry out loud, or just stay quiet. But as I was still thinking, I was already being taken over, and being carried around, by quite a few people already.

As you can see from the pictures below, I actually fell asleep when the dinner was served. They all thought that I was tired. Instead, I just didn't want to look at them eating, while I couldn't taste any of the food. Therefore, I pretended to be sleeping.

I woke up as they were finishing the courses. Again, I was being passed around... but as soon as the girls noticed that I'm awake, they just swamped around me.

Fortunately, I'm kind of used to it already. I used to get swamped around by a bunch of old ladies whenever Mommy takes me to the Supermarket. (Actually, it is still happening unless Mommy cover up the stroller with a blanket.) So this is way better! But you know, sometimes younger girls are more immature.

Here are the rest of the pictures taken from the dinner party. You can see that it was a very busy night for me!

Here is a video showing Grandpa holding me in his arms shortly after I woke up.

It's a Rat! Not a Mouse!

I don't know if any of you knew that my Daddy works for a Rat! Yes, a rat! But his company likes to call it a Mouse. To me, a mouse is something that connects to a computer or laptop.

Daddy's company even gives this Rat a name called Mickey. So, Mickey Rat. They even put clothes on this rat, made this rat to wear a pair of white gloves, and taught this stupid rat to walk with 2 of his 4 legs only.

I'm a Scouser... I Guess!?

Well, according to Daddy, Liverpool Football Club has once again made it to the Champions League Semi-Final for the 3rd time in 4 years. And for the 3rd time in 4 years, Liverpool is playing Chelsea. The first leg, which will take place at Anfield, kicks off on Tuesday, April 22. So please... show your support for Daddy's team. I did, and so can you!

Having Dim Sum With Grandparents

It's Saturday! Mommy and Daddy took me to meet Grandma and Grandpa at a Dim Sum restaurant. This is my first time visiting a Dim Sum restaurant, and let me tell you... I wasn't that impressed. That place was noisy! As soon as I arrived there, the ambience immediately put me in a bad mood. That's why whenever Grandma and Grandpa tried to hold me, I screamed! I was pretty sure that it had nothing to do with them. I just knew that I was in an unfamiliar territory... kind of like Liverpool playing at Old Trafford type of feeling. Who would feel comfortable at that, right?

Dim Sum with Grandpa from Addison Chan on Vimeo.

Finally, Uncle Joseph, who was also there, took me for a cruise around the restaurant to calm me down. At first, he told me that he's going to walk around the restaurant and show me some good looking 'chicks.' (Yes, I soon found out that he wasn't referring to McDonald's Chicken McNuggets type of 'chicks.') But along the way, all I heard from him was 'yuck', 'butt ugly', 'what? that's a female?', 'forget that one', and even 'don't look over there!.' Half way through our restaurant tour, he decided to change the theme of his tour a bit... to 'Girls that I shouldn't go out with when I grow up.' As you can see from the tour below, I wasn't too thrill when the tour ended so quickly. Fortunately, Grandma was there to take over.

Cruising with Uncle Joseph from Addison Chan on Vimeo.

It was a really hot day! By the time we were done with Dim Sum, and walked back to our car, the temperature read 98 degrees Fahrenheit. Yeah, I'm used to Celcius too! But that's what Daddy's BMW is showing, and certainly my butt was feeling it too!

By the time we got home, I was soaking wet! No, Daddy's Bimmer was just cool enough (both inside, outside, and Daddy himself!), it was that stupid car seat that made me all hot and sweaty! Think about it... while every occupant is facing forward and enjoying the breeze from the AC, I had to face backward with the seat back blocking off all the cool air. So how could I chill under such hostile circumstances? That's why as soon as Mommy got me into the house, she took off all my clothes. I immediately turn back to a happy camper, as you can see from the pictures below.
