Some Pictures from Last Week

I've just noticed that I have left out this batch of pictures from last week.  They are nothing special.  Just some pictures of me helping out to clean the kitchen floor.  You can see from the last picture that I wasn't too thrilled to learn that my hard work wasn't recognized!

Babymoon? You Bet!

I’m sure that most of my readers will remember this trip.  Yes, this was Mommy and Daddy’s babymoon trip taken shortly before I was born.  Yes, that was me inside Mommy’s tummy.  Can you believe that?

Anyway, now that I’m around, Mommy and Daddy don’t really qualify for babymoon anymore.  But wait!  What about me?  I think I’m allowed to have a babymoon before ‘the baby’ is born.  In this case, the baby I’m referring to, is my, I’m told, little sister!  Because once she is born, I will no longer get any peace and quiet time alone by myself.  The more I think of it, the more I feel that I deserve a trip before my little sister is born.

So, where shall we go?  I suggested Osaka, Japan because of my fan base, but Daddy said ‘no flying!’  (I guess he didn’t know there are usually 2 pilots in each international flight, and that he doesn’t need to fly the plane himself.)

Mommy suggested Las Vegas.  But Daddy said he doesn’t think I can sit in a car for so many hours.  Hello, Daddy?  Remember?  We’ve been to Las Vegas together once before!?  Daddy paused and think for a moment and agreed to go on a trip to Las Vegas.

So on this past Saturday, we left to spend a night at Grandma’s house in Riverside, before heading to Las Vegas on the following day.  A few hours later, we arrived at Las Vegas!  They look just like the last time when I visited.  The one thing that was different, was the hotel that we stayed this time.

If you remember, we were very fortunate to have the opportunity to stay at the Bellagio during our last visit.  This time, we stayed at this hotel called THEhotel.  If you have never heard of it before, let me help you with a virtual tour of our room.

Thanks to some secret connections that Daddy has, we were upgraded to an end-unit room with a magnificent view, both at night and during the day.  Let’s start with the day view first!

Now, here comes the night view!

I don’t know about you, but I was very impressed by this hotel and the room so far!  I especially liked the window that goes all the way to the floor.  It fits my height perfectly!

So are you impressed yet?  Wait till I show what is in the bathroom… my private in-room swimming pool!

Yes, I know this is not a swimming pool.  But this bath tub is so deep and long that I can literally do laps in it, had Daddy taught me how to swim!  Speaking of swimming, did I tell you that this hotel has an awesome (real) pool?

With all these activities, of course I had to eat a bit more than usual.  That’s why whenever we're in Las Vegas, we always spent quite some time at the buffet restaurants.

It’s been a fun trip and before I knew it, it was time to leave town.  I truly wished that we can stayed for a few more days, but I guess there will always be next time… with my little sister!
Before I go, here are some pictures that we took during this trip.

Grandpa’s Deacon Ceremony

Today, I was invited to Grandpa’s Deacon Ordination ceremony.  Don’t know what a Deacon is?  Me neither!  But if you click here, it should provide you with some basic information.

But before we arrive at the church, we have to do something more important first… food!

We met Aunt Annie and Uncle Joseph at this Malaysian restaurant near Grandpa’s church, and we had a big meal there before heading over to the ceremony.  How big?  Let me show you some pictures!

I hope these pictures didn’t make you hungry.  Because looking at these pictures now certainly make me regained my appetite.

While at the Restaurant, I got to tried almost every dish that was shown above.  And of course, I got to spent some quality time with Aunt Annie and Uncle Joseph too!

After our early dinner, it’s time to head over to the church where the ceremony was held.  It was a 2 hour long ceremony, and since it was conducted in both Mandarin and English, I didn’t have a clue what they were talking about.  (Just in case you wonder, Mommy and Daddy only speak to me in Cantonese at home.)  Therefore, I was bored rather early, and it means that I got to go play outside, or I would scream out loud for attention.  Here is a video of me running around after I have won the battle of refusing to sit still.

A short while later, it was time for the actual ceremony.  Here are some footages:

Before I knew it, the evening was already coming to end.  While on our way home, Mommy mentioned to me that there will be another trip coming up… as long as I am a Good Boy!  I can’t wait to find out what’s been lined up for me!

My First Easter Egg Hunt!

Happy Easter everyone!

Although this is not my first Easter, this is certainly the first Easter that I can run around by myself.  Therefore, how else better to celebrate this Easter by running around looking for some Easter eggs?

And just so you know, I’m still accepting Easter gifts!  Here’s what I got for Easter from last year… just to give you an idea.

A Very Cool Gift!

I turned 16th month old yesterday!  Just when I thought no one would remember my 16th month old birthday, I was surprised by a parcel today!

When I learned that it was a postal-woman ringing the doorbell, I thought she was delivering just another gadget that Daddy ordered online.  But it turned out that the parcel was addressed to “Addison Chan!”  Another look at the stamps told me that the parcel was from Hong Kong.  Since I had to pretend that it was no big deal, I asked Daddy to open it for me, while I slowly walked away back to my toys.

Wow!  A pair of Adidas!  It was Aunt Phoebe who bought me this pair of Adidas!  I knew someone would remember that it was my 16th month old birthday!  And I knew that I can count on Aunt Phoebe and Uncle Chris!  For the rest of you… shame on you!

Thank you very much!  Aunt Phoebe!

A Day at Grandma’s

DSC04612

Dear Grandma,

I just want you to know that I had a great time at your house this weekend!

Although it took me a few months, but I have finally mastered the skills of slam dunking the basketball, thanks to the basketball set that you bought me for Christmas.

I also want to thank you for buying me all the toys that you see from this video below, so that I get to throw them around your house.

I’m sure you know by now that I like dogs.  And one of the many highlights of visiting your place is the opportunity to see Buddy and Lucky.  I find it funny whenever Lucky and Buddy are barking at me, because they totally remind me of Daddy’s scolding whenever he thinks I’m being naughty.

As much as I like playing basketball in your living room, I also like spending time in your front yard running around.  That front yard area is so big that I feel like I can run a marathon there.

Ever since I mentioned in my blog that you have a few orange trees in your garden, I received a lot of fan mails asking about those trees.  Questions like if the trees are actually orange in color, or if I have to climb up the trees to pick the oranges.  It was after reading all those fan mails that I realized… not that many kids around town have the luxury of having private oranges trees at home.  Knowing that makes it more fun when I am picking oranges from your garden!

Meanwhile, it was some great fun meeting your brother, Grand Uncle Luiz!  Although this weekend’s meeting was not my first time meeting him, he and I remain as very good friends!  However, can you ask him to shave his beard next time when we meet?  Because kissing him on his cheek was a bit painful on my lips.  Oh, also, is it true that he used to throw balls at Daddy and Uncle Chris when they were young?

I had so much fun at your place this weekend that I really didn’t want to leave your place that evening!  But I guess I can always come back to visit you again on another weekend.  Although I will surely miss Great Grandma and Grand Uncle Luiz as they are flying back to Hong Kong in a few days.

Last but not least, I want to share with you a few pictures that I took while sitting on the trunk of Mommy’s BMW.  I hope you’ll like these pictures as much as I do.

                                                                                                           With all my love,

                                                                                                                   Addison
