My First Visit to Las Vegas - Day 4

So before I went to bed last night, Daddy told me that he will try to leave work early today and take me to the swimming pool! Of course I'm all for it! Are you kidding me? I'm the next Michael Phelps, remember? I can't wait to hit the pool to show off a trick or two that I've learned from watching Mikey P's swimming in Beijing.

So to prepare for this big moment, I decided to take plenty of rest during the first half of the day, so that when Daddy comes back, I will be full of energy. I even thought about calling down to the hotel operator to tell them to hold all phone calls. But I didn't know what number to call for the operator, so I didn't do it.

But you know what, I over-slept! Daddy came back from work and I was still sleeping. I guess I was so excited that I was mentally drained. Fortunatley, when Daddy noticed that I was still sleeping, he woke me up right away...

Swimming Pool, here I am!

But as Daddy slowly sinked me into the water, I felt something terribly wrong! The water temperature was not controlled at the Olympic Standard of 25-28C (77-82F)! It's way under that! It's way too cold for my muscles to get soaked in this kind of environment. That is not going to fly with a professional swimmer like me! Why did the hotel purposely chilled the water? I know it's hot out here, but to chill the water to this temperature level, will eventually turn away Professional Swimmers like me! I really didn't expect this to happen at a fine hotel like The Bellagio!

By then, I wasn't in a mood to swim anymore. Since Daddy still wanted to dip into the water for a bit, I decided to entertain him and hung out in the pool for a bit. "Just don't expect me to get into this freezing cold water!"

A short while later, we decided to head back to our room. Daddy made a dinner reservation at this French Restaurant called Mon Ami Gabi. The reservation is at 7:15pm, so we decided that we'd better get going.

What I didn't know was that this restaurant is not located at our hotel. Instead, we had walk all the way over to the Paris... the hotel, not the country. It is the hotel that we see right outside of our room. It took us about 10 minutes to walk over there. The walk was nothing; but the outside temperature was brutal!

We arrived at the restaurant and we didn't even had to wait. Daddy said it's because we have a reservation. I say it was because of my good looks! The dinner looked good and so did Daddy's glass of French Wine according to him. Right after dinner, we took some pictures of Paris on our way back to our hotel.

To conclude our evening, we stopped by Jean-Philippe Patisserie for some crepes as dessert, before heading back to our room for a good night sleep!
