Grand-Aunt Winnie, aka Juanita's Mom, has arrived from Hong Kong last week. Although she claims that she is here on vacation, and to visit Aunt Juanita, I honestly believe that those were just excuses. I think the reason why she is here is to meet me for the first time. After all, how could a smart person like Grand-Aunt Winnie, resist from seeing me, when the only mean of seeing my cute face was by reading this blog? After all, I truly believe that holding me for the first time is totally worth the 15 hours or so flight time!
So it's been a few days since her arrival, and Aunt Juanita has finally decided to bring her Mom for a visit. Grand-Aunt Winnie was very impressed with my weight, as well as how loud I cried. I impressed her so much that she even gave me a red-envelope (利是), just to honor this special moment! I, of course, have the whole thing on video...
If you know what Daddy is doing, good for you! Because I don't have a clue what he is trying to do. It looked to me that he's either trying to punch me, or slap me. I laughed because I didn't think he knew that I had a camera on him. And if he did punch, or slap, me, I'll just send the video to his Mom... aka, my Grandma!
So, back to what Daddy was doing in this video. Mommy later told me that it's an old and popular game that is more commonly played in drinking places. But Mommy also told me that Daddy can't drink. So I don't understand how, when, or where did he learn this so-called game. As you can see towards the end of this video, I was forced to drink too! I think that was hardly fair! Can someone show me how to play this game, please? Otherwise, I will get drunk pretty soon!
Some of my fans in Russia and Croatia didn't believe me, when I blogged about my first baby food meal. Well, you know what, cмотреть видео сами! (That's Russian in 'Watch this video yourself!')
It's that simple! If you give me more food, I will you more entertainment! Today, I had my first solid food. Although technically, it wasn't really solid like Daddy's chocolate bar, but it's still better than just milk! I guess that's all I have to settle for, for now, until I get some teeth coming out of my gums!
So what did I eat today? I wishI could tell you that it was a slice of Godiva Cheesecake. Because I know I don't need teeth for that. But it wasn't. What I had was a full serving of Gerber Carrots. It may not look that appetizing to you, but it did for me. I finished that whole thing in no time. Although portion of it was spread all over my face, hands, and clothes, Mommy and Daddy are still very proud of me! By the way, did I mention that I was still hungry after this little container was emptied? Yeah, I did get some milk afterwards. Hey, I need something to drink, along with my meal, okay!?
Later in the evening, when Daddy came home, I just couldn't wait to tell Daddy what I ate today. However, I was just too busy doing sit-ups with Mommy. They also learned that not only I have learned how to do sit-ups, I also managed a follow-up routine called 'stand-up' too! Check out the video here if you don't believe me!
It was a fun weekend because I got gifts! I didn't know that Easter is also a season for giving (to me.) That's why I was pleasantly surprised when Daddy took me to shopping for my private chair. Yup, I got my chair now! I don't have to share chairs with anyone, anymore. More importantly, I get to sit closer to the dining table during meals. As opposed to sitting in that bouncing chair (that hardly bounces itself), sitting high up and closer to the dining table is one small step for Mommy and Daddy, one big step for Addison.
Well, this is what I got from Mommy and Daddy for Easter.
Now, this is the same chair with me sitting on it. Don't you think I made the chair look more expensive?
But my gift just didn't stop there! Aunt Juanita and Aunt Peggy both brought me gifts too! Specifically, it was an Easter Basket! Dad believes that I'm the first person in the history of our family who receives a specific Easter Basket gift for Easter! Well, I'm also the first person in the history of our family who looks like a million bucks! So here's your answer, Dad!
Back to my basket... Wow! It has so many stuff in it! Food, toys, clothes, etc. I can't be more happier! I like it a lot! Thanks to Aunt Juanita and Aunt Peggy! Here's a picture of what the basket looks like.
Finally, how could we spent Easter at home without taking some pictures! Here they are...
Today, I spent the evening playing with Mommy and Daddy. They seemed to like it a lot whenever I talk. But they didn't seem to understand what I was actually talking about. How difficult could it be, to really understand what I was realy trying to say. Somehow, they just don't get it!
It was really not big deal because I just had my 2-month check-up, well, 2 months ago! I was expecting the same old thing of weighting me, and listening to what the doctor has to say about my good look.
But wait! I think there's one thing that I have forgotten! The last time when I was there, I had to take 4 injections! But wait... was it painful at all? I don't seem to remember.
Well, instead of having me to tell you, why don't you just watch the video yourself.
Just for the record... I measured 25-inches in height, and weight in at 16.8 pounds. Dr. Kim said my weight is in the top 25 percentile for good looking boys at my age. The same goes for the size of my head. But Daddy said it only means that I am (going to be) a brain-iac. As for my height, I'm right at average for my age group.
By the way, were you able to tell that the nurse was totally impressed by my bravery?
Here are some pictures taken while we were waiting for the doctor.
Mommy and Daddy took me to visit Grandma and Grandpa in Arcadia today. I haven't met Grandma and Grandpa since I left for Orlando, so it has been a while since I saw them. Just as I predicted, they both told me that I have grown a lot, and that I'm getting more and more good looking!
In addition to meeting Grandpa and Grandma, I also got to see Aunt Annie and Uncle Joseph too! Later in the evening, Uncle Steven also showed up. I haven't met them for a while already. They all spent some time to play with me, which was fun! I also had a chance to check out this new device/ride that was left sitting in Grandma's living room. I think I'm still too small for it. So maybe when I grow bigger, I will bring it home with me if Daddy lets me.
Below are some pictures and a video. Check it out.
I just want to share with you 2 new videos of me. The first one is a documentary. Yes, the kind that you will see on Discovery Channel or something. Basically it's a documentary of me, Addison Chan, describing how much I hate Tummy time. This is totally new stuff! We are talking about footage that has never been released before. Check it out...
After some complaining, on the same day, Daddy tried to make it up to me by, literally, throwing stuff at me! I normally wouldn't like it. But the fact that I don't have to do Tummy Time anymore was just too much joy to handle! Go see it for yourself if you don't believe me.
I can't believe that I'm back at this place called the Airport again so soon! I was just here about 2 weeks ago! Although I'm at the International Terminal this time where most people's suitcases are bigger. Aunt Phoebe and Uncle Chris are leaving for Hong Kong today. I mentioned it once in my previous post that Hong Kong needs Uncle Chris save its economy, and therefore, Hong Kong is inviting Uncle Chris to go back there for a while. That is according to what Daddy told me.
We woke up rather early today to get ready for the airport visit. We arrived there at 10:30am, while Uncle Chris' flight does not leave until 12:30pm. When we arrived at the airport, Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Phoebe, Uncle Chris were all there already, waiting for me! Yeah, even thought I was not the one who's leaving, I still get to be the center of attention, as always!
As soon as I saw Aunt Phoebe and Uncle Chris, I really wanted to jump out of my stroller to give them a hug and ask them not to leave again. But then, I realize that I couldn't jump yet, so I just remained quiet laying inside my stroller. Luckily, it didn't take long before Uncle Chris picked me up from the stroller.
Below are some pictures taken at the airport. Yeah, most of them are taken when Uncle Chris was holding me. And that is exactly what happened throughout the late morning before Aunt Phoebe and Uncle Chris waved goodbye to us.
And here's a video of my crying... yeah, I was crying because I didn't want Aunt Phoebe and Uncle Chris to leave. But somehow, no one understood why was I crying. And when they started guessing, and guessed wrong, that's when I really got irritated.
Where is he going? Why is he leaving? Daddy's answer was that he's heading back to Hong Kong because he is needed in Hong Kong to stabilize the economy. Well, maybe he should stabilize US economy first!
I really don't want Uncle Chris to leave! I was totally expecting him to play football with me as soon as I can run and talk at the same time. What am I going to do now? Yeah, I know I can still play with my Daddy. But based on what I have heard, Daddy's footballing skill is incomparable to Uncle Chris'. (For those who wonder what I meant by 'incomparable'... Uncle Chris is better!) Therefore, I really don't want you to leave! After all, you are the Winner of the "Guess MY Due-Date Contest." Yeah, you were the one who knew that I will be late arriving into this world, when everyone thought that I was going to be early. Therefore, I felt like you are the only person who knows how I feel and what I think! (Below is picture of Mommy and Daddy presenting the Grand Prize to Uncle Chris for winning the contest.)
Just when I thought that I still get to spend a few more weekends with Uncle Chris, Daddy told me that Uncle Chris is actually leaving tomorrow! What? He's telling me this now? Did I not read Daddy's email or something? How come nobody told me about this sooner? I guess that is why we are heading to Grandma's place today, on a weekday!
As you can imagine, I spent quite some time with Uncle Chris during this visit to Riverside because I know I will miss him tremendously once he's left. As you can tell from the pictures below, I couldn't get myself together towards the end of the day and finally broke down and cry. It's okay. It's okay. I shall be fine, because I'm tough!
I have some more pictures and video below that highlights my weekend with Uncle Chris and Aunt Phoebe. But before we go there, Daddy shared with me this picture that he took when Aunt Phoebe was talking (more like negotiating) to Grandma. My Chinese is still a bit rusty, and therefore, I really don't know what is written there. Will someone be so kind to leave me a comment after this post to translate what is written there? (Oh, and if you cannot read it clearly, click on the picture itself for an enlarged view.) Here comes the rest of the pictures:
Daddy got this nice Canon camera from Uncle Jae, and both Mom and Dad have been having quite some fun with it. But of course, just because it's a nice camera, it doesn't mean that the object/person in the picture will automatically becomes good looking. When you have the looks (like mine), no matter what camera you would use, the pictures will still come out stunning! In the set of photos below, let's just say... the camera didn't have to work that hard to make me looks so... good!
I don't understand... why change the time? Maybe I don't want to understand. It's really late at night, and we just came back from Riverside. And now, Daddy told me that we have just lost 1 more hour! I thought they were just kidding earlier when they said they want to mess with the clock.
Anyway, here are some pictures that Daddy took today. I have to go to sleep now. Thanks for stopping by!
They are all the same! The bottom line is... I'm getting old! My poops are beginning to smell; my throat is beginning to make strange sounds; and my appetite is getting bigger and bigger!
You know what, I don't want to talk about it!
Let's see some pictures that Mommy and Daddy took today.
