My First Halloween!

It's time to celebrate my first Halloween! But before I start, did you know that Daddy was really worried that I was going to born on Halloween day? I supposed all of you knew that except me. I just thought that it would be fun to have a birthdate on October 31! It's almost like gauranteeing a party every birthday!

Now back to my first Halloween. So what did I dress up as? Well, I'm Fernando Torres this year! For those who don't know who he is, please click on his name to find out. And those who already knew who he is, but don't think he's scary... maybe you should ask this guy to see if he thinks Fernando Torres is scary...

Or maybe this guy...

Oh, better yet... maybe ask this guy to see if he thinks Torres is scary...

I think I have established my point, and by now, I'm sure you are convinced that I've made the perfect decision to dress up like Fernando Torres for this Halloween.
So what did I do today?  Well, Mommy and Daddy took me to Santa Monica for a photo-shoot and some casual trick-or-treating.  They both think that I'm too young to be trick-or-treating, and more importantly, I don't get to enjoy the candies anyway.  I just think that this is a lame argument.  Try putting a piece of candy in my mouth and see if I'll chew on it!

Anyway, so I was at 3rd Street Promenade and with my sharp looking outfit, people just can't stop looking at me while I was doing a photo shoot with Mommy and Daddy.  Here are some pictures that I took today...

Now, here's a video of me cruising down 3rd Street. Please kindly ignore the background music as someone was trying to promote the Chinese culture by doing Street-Gymnastics!

Do you like my new footballer hairstyle?

Finally, as it got dark outside, Mommy and Daddy started bringing me to all these shops to see if they are allowing Trick-or-Treat. Below is a vidoe of me trick or treating at the Benetton Store.

It was a fun time! Unfortunately, I had to leave before my bed time. I look forward to my next Halloween so that I don't have to let Daddy to dictate where I go!

Just Another Birthday Reminder... and Some More Pictures

Yes! It's getting close! You have less than 2 weeks to shop for my birthday gift. If you haven't done it yet, it's still not too late!

Meanwhile, here are some more pictures taken in the past few days.

Just Some Pictures

Folks, just because I had my (early) birthday party, it doesn't mean that it's too late to buy gifts for me. There's still time if you look at the count-down clock! And please don't listen to my parents' comment about I already have too many toys. I don't see Daddy complains about having too many cars! And if I still haven't convinced you yet, maybe you should see some of my recent pictures! I truly believe that once you have seen my recent cuter-than-cute-and-better-cute face, you will go crazy at the toy stores!

Not My Kind of Pony Tail

Yup! Nope! When I asked for a pony-tail, I was expecting one from the back so that I can look exactly like those South-American Football Player! This isn't exactly what I was expecting. I guess my hair on the back isn't long enough to do one of those pony-tail, yet, my hair in front was getting long enough to start bothering my eyes. So before Mom gets some time to give me another hair-cut, here is a 'quick-fix.'

Enjoy these pictures while they are still on-line! The day when I know how to remove pictures, they will be gone because I cannot allow girls to these pictures!

Black Market Update!

Okay People! I've said it once, and I'm going to say it again! This is the one and only official blog of Addison Chan. I cannot confirm, nor deny, if there are other black-market/underground (fan) sites, nor can I gaurantee the information obtined from these sites to be true/valid.  There are web sites out there that cut and paste my cute face onto other pictures, and that's why you are seeing pictures of me partying. And if you insist on visiting those unofficial sites, then stop emailing me to find out if I really went to Paris last week, or if I really threw a birthday party with lots of girls (and asked me why didn't I invite you.)  If you want accurate information, get it from me, AddisonBChan.com, and from nowhere else.

Oh, one more thing! You'll only get my video footage from AddisonBChan.com! This is something that you will NEVER get from those other wanna-be sites out there! At least not ahead of my official release. So, stay tuned!

My (Early) 1st Birthday Party!

I'm at least 3 weeks out from my birthday, and I'm throwing a birthday party for an early celebration. Why? Because my Grandma will not be in Los Angeles on my real birthday, November 6, and she made a special request for an early birthday party so that she will get to celebrate my first birthday, with me, here in L.A.

So, this is my 1st birthday party. It means that I was expecting loads of gifts. So did I get load of gifts? You will find out soon!

My day started early this morning. Since the party didn't begin until way into the afternoon, Mommy and Daddy pretty much spent the morning hours preparing for my party. What to prepare? How about these...

Today, I also had the opportunity to meet my cousin Annabelle for the first time.

And throughout the day, I was busy playing with everyone who came to my party! And of course, I had presents to open throughout the day too!

And there's a present for Daddy too! It was from Grandma.

And here are a few more videos of me playing around with Annabelle, and everybody else.

Here are some more pictures that we took throughout the day...

And of course, how can a birthday party be without the birthday song?

Last but not least, thanks to all those who bought me presents... here's a quick overview of what I got for my first birthday!

Thanks to everyone who came to my party! I had a great time!

Happy Anniversary!

Today is Mommy and Daddy's Wedding Anniversary. They have been married for 4 years now!! Can you believe it? I can't even begin to imagine how long do I have to wait before I become 4 years old! So what did we/they do to celebrate their Anniversary?

Nothing!

They have been busy all day today running around different places to buy food and other stuff! It seems to me that something important is coming up. But my birthday is still almost 3 weeks away. So I really don't know why are they celebrating today.

However, they did went out for a very nice dinner last night! To me, it's another milestone to enter into my list because yesterday was the first time that I saw the ocean! Specifically, the Pacific Ocean. (See, I do know some Geography!) Mommy and Daddy went to this nice restaurant in Malibu called MoonShadow. This restaurant is so nice that when I sat there, I thought I was actually sitting in the ocean! On one end of the restaurant, I was looking at the sunset, and on the other side of the restaurant, I can look as far as my eyes can see... which is where the ocean meets the sky. Here's a video of me taken just after we were seated.

Here's another video taken shortly after we were seated. You can see that I have started drinking already!

Now, there are some pictures that we took throughout the evening...

Finally, here are a few photos to show you the kind of food that I was missing out on that night!

This is just not fair! Anyway, Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad!

More Toys... More Videos!

Here is another video of me playing with my new toys.

Here is a different video of me spending some time with Mommy.

This video below is taken during dinner time when I sat by Mommy and Daddy.

And finally, here's a video of me playing hide and seek with Mommy...

Housekeeping Update on AddisonBChan.com

I'm sure most of you have been enjoying the high definition quality of all the embedded videos found on this site. These high quality videos are brought to you by a video hosting company called Vimeo.com. It is one of the very few video web hosting company that host video in 1080i High Definition. And since all my videos are captured in High Definition, it only make sense to use their service as opposed to the other more commonly known companies/sites out there.

Unfortunately, Vimeo.com has recently decided to start charging for its services. According to Vimeo.com, its free-service now only allow 1 free-upload per week, with a cap of 500mb. To be fair, the 500mb has been around all along. It's the 1 upload per week that I'm having a problem with. Once per week? What are they thinking? I can't let my audience to see a video of me for only once a week!?

So what if I want to upload more than 1 file per week? I would have to pay for its premium services. Since you all know that I do not earn an income.. yet, it's only logical that I shouldn't be spending until I start earning. This only means that I need to look for alternate solution. This is really sad because I do think that Vimeo.com does provide a service/product that is unique in the market place. And its quality is second to none. I have been very satisfied with this company until now!

With that thought in mind, I think it's time for me to switch my video hosting service back to YouTube. After some browsing around YouTube's site, I do notice that they offer an option to view the video in "high quality." It's not true HD, but it is certainly better than the 'regular' YouTube quality that most YouTube videos are broadcasted. The only catch is, the 'high quality' switch/link can only be found on the video's page itself. It is located at the lower right corner of the video. If you click on any of my YouTube video found on this site, it will take you directly to the video-page on YouTube, where you can find this 'high quality' link.

Check it out and give it a try! While you're there don't forget to give my videos a vote by clicking on the stars!

P.S. It is my hope that Vimeo.com will soon find out how much businesses they have lost by imposing this new business model, and re-visit their free-service package.

P.P.S. All my videos will contine to be captured in 1080i High Definition.

Smell that Stinky Feet!

I don't know why but this morning, Daddy was holding his camcorder filming me right before he changed my diaper. Here is what was caught on camera. I'm just so good looking as usual, no matter from which angle.

Then later that day, Daddy was practising his number counting in front of me, and asked me to smell that baby feet picture in his counting-book. Well, I did it just to make him happy.

Gifts from Grandma

As mentioned here, Grandma took me to Toys-R-Us for shopping a few days ago. (See! People! This is how you can help kicking-off this month-long count-down event!) Anyway, Daddy finally took some time to assemble the presents that Grandma bought me. Here are some videos of me trying out my new toy!

The Count-down Begins... Today!

To kick-off this month-long count-down event, I have added a count-down clock in the sidebar of this blog. Hopefully, this will help my fans to make birthday gift shopping plan a little bit easier. Because sometimes shipping takes a while, and I suggest you not to wait till the last minute before placing your order!

Not My First Manicure, Can't You Tell?

Mommy and Daddy have been complaining that my fingernails are getting long and they scratches them all the time when I try to hold on to them tight. But Mommy's fingernails are even longer, and they scratch Daddy and Myself all the time too! The only difference is... Mommy usually just say "Sorry lor!", and I don't say a thing to them when I scratched them. But at least Daddy didn't give me the kind of dirty look that he gave Mommy when he got scratched!

So this evening, Mommy decided to give me a manicure so that I fingernails will look tidy, nice, and safe-to-the-skin.

My Kung Fu Kick Target Practice

Here is a video of me having some fun with Daddy this morning. You might want to turn down the volume a bit if you are watching this video from work, as I did make a few high pitch scream (when I get too excited) in the video.)

Shopping with Grandma!

This evening, Grandma came to visit us and had dinner with us at a local Japanese Restaurant. After dinner, Grandma insisted taking me to this store that supposed to be big. After a bit of driving, we arrived at this store called Toys R Us. I wasn't too sure what the 'R' stands for, maybe it stands for 'Rely-on'?

Anyway, as soon as we stepped into this store, I realized that this is no joke! This place is BIG! And they are specifically big in toys! There were toys everywhere! Grandma and Mommy took me down almost every aisle that I can imagine to go through toys that caught my attention.

While we were busy with selecting toys, Daddy was on the phone with Uncle Chris in Hong Kong, telling him that his Mom is at a toy store with me buying tons of toys for me. I heard Uncle Chris yelling out loud but I couldn't quite hear what he was saying! Oh well!

We spent more than an hour at the toy store trying out various toys. In the end, our shopping cart was full of toys. And Daddy was even trying to tell Grandma that the trunk of his car doesn't have enough room for these toys, and tried to convince Grandma to drop a few items. Fortunately, Grandma defended me and insisted on getting everything. And since Grandma is always right, all the toys did fit inside the trunk of Daddy's car. Although Grandma did have to put one item on her lap in the front passenger seat.

Over the next few days, I will be show you some pictures and videos of all my new toys. Stay tuned!

I Can't Dance, I Can't Talk

I spent some time chilling with Daddy this evening in my play area. It happened that Daddy had his High Definition Camera with him, and so he took some video of me.

I don't know why but as I was typing this post, this song by Phil Collins crossed my mind. Some of you might think that I'm not old enough to know Phil Collins. You are wrong! And you are even old enough to recognize the dance moves of Michael Jackson, you might want to sit through the entire MTV below.

Grandma Amy likes Grape Juice

So when Grandma Amy was staying with us during the past few days, I noticed that she really likes to drink those dark red liquid from those tall bottles. So when I asked Daddy what is in those bottles, Daddy told me that they are expensive Grape Juice.

Grape Juice? I think I had Grape Juice before. Although I think it was white grape juice, stored inside a plastic bottle as opposed to the glass bottle that Grandma Amy drank out of.

So how much does Grandma Amy really like to drink grape juice... the expensive kind? Let’s just say there are at least 2 extra emptied bottles in the morning when I wake up everyday. Since she doesn’t seem to be a selfish person, I supposed she wasn’t the only person drinking grape juice after I went to bed.  She would share, right?

But when I saw these pictures, I had my doubts. (Click on the picture to enlarge.)

Grandma Amy, 契嫲嫲, and 契爺爺's Visit

We have a few very important Guests visiting us in the past few days!

Grandma Amy flew all the way from Hong Kong to visit us, while 契嫲嫲 and 契爺爺 are visitng us from Vancouver. This is my first time meeting all 3 Guests, and of course I was at my best behavior at all time... during those few days.

Grandma Amy lives in Hong Kong. Her job in Hong Kong is to manage my Imaage Rights, my Publicity, and so drinking with my Uncle Chris on my behalf.

契嫲嫲 and 契爺爺, for those who can't read Chinese (of couse I can read Chinese!), they are Daddy's Godfather and Godmother. Not so much in religious term, but more in Chinese Traditions term. 契嫲嫲 and 契爺爺 are very good friends of Grandpa William. Not only good friend, but life-long friends with Grandpa William. They treat each other as brother/sister. Which means that they have full authority to teach Daddy a lesson when he's naughty. Daddy said the same applies to me, but I just told Daddy that the vocabulary 'naughty' is just in my dictionary.

So what happened was that Grandma Amy flew from Hong Kong to Vancouver to meet with 契嫲嫲 and 契爺爺, and the 3 of them took a Cruise to travel down from Vancouver to L.A. I asked Daddy what a Cruise is, and Daddy's response was 'a big sampan with rooms.' Thanks, Dad! Not only now I don't know what a Cruise mean, I also want to know what is a sampan!? But Daddy did say he will, someday, take me onto a Cruise so that I will find out what a Cruise is, in person. I'm okay with that!

Here are some pictures that we took over the past few days. I had some great fun with everyone and I hope that they had great fun with me too! Daddy did told 契爺爺 that he will take Mommy and Me to visit them in Vancouver some day. That's good because I've heard that there are some great restaurants up in Vancouver! But Daddy also told Grandma Amy that he will take Mommy and Me to Hong Kong, some day, to visit her too! Hmm, it looks like I will have some traveling to do in the near future!

Once again, thank you all for visiting me! And more importnat, thank you all for the gifts that you bought me! I look forward to seeing you again very soon!

My First Mid-Autumn Festival (中秋節)

Today is 中秋節, and if you don't know what 中秋節 is, just look up to the sky. Tonight's moon is supposed to be the 'round-est' of the whole year. Yeah, someone actually took it down from the sky and measured it, I think.

So what do we do on 中秋節? Not much! You are supposed to be outdoor to enjoy the moon. Which is exactly what Mommy and Daddy did! They took me outside to check out the moon. It looked just like a lightbulb! Round and bright! Here are some video footages from this evening.

Uncle Joseph's Birthday Party!

So, I was told that we have a party to attend today. Today? But I just came back from a Las Vegas trip, and I'm still in hand-over mode! But as soon as Mommy told me that it's surprised brithday party for Uncle Joseph, I knew I have to be there. Because when Uncle Joseph throws a party, it only means there are plenty of girls! But as I was sitting in the car getting there, I realized that this was a 'surprised' party... organized by his wife, Aunt Annie! Therefore, technically, it's not really a "Uncle-Jospeh-Party!" Well, it's a party for him; just not organized by him. Oh well, it's still Uncle Joseph, and maybe if I don't show up this time, he might drop me off of his VIP list when he throws his next trademark-party!

So we got there, and everybody was busy setting up the place. And about half an hour later, Uncle Joseph came opening the door, returning home from a fishing trip...

Now that Uncle Joseph is here, it's time to Par-tee! Music please!

We had to leave early because it was getting close to Daddy's bedtime. So right around 8 o'clock, I had to tell everyone to excuse us because I need to take my Daddy home. Of course, everyone wanted me to stay, and I just couldn't. I just hoped the party went on fine, and people were having just as much fun as when I was there.

Here are some pictures throughout the party.

My First Visit to Las Vegas - Day 5

When I woke up this morning, I saw Mommy packing up our bags. For a moment, I thought we were heading to our next stop at another secret location liked this one. But no, Mommy told me that we were heading home. What? But we've stayed for only 4 nights! After all, this is my first visit, shouldn't we stay for a few more nights?

I don't know how but Daddy managed to pull a 7pm Late Check-out for our room, which meant that Mommy could take all the time she wants to pack, while I took all the time I want to enjoy a few more hours of this room.

But wait! Why was Mommy undressing me? I thought we had some time before we have to check-out! Oh, I wasn't changing clothes. Instead, I was butt naked when Mommy took me into the bathroom and there it was, Daddy! Since I didn't get to swim yesterday, Daddy thought that I should at least spend some time in our in-room, deep soaking, mini swimming pool! This time, Daddy made sure that the water temperature is up to standard, and let me tell you, Daddy had it just right! It made me wonder if he was also a swimmer, like me, when he was young.

I had much fun in our own mini swimming pool! Mommy took tons of pictures of us. Sadly, it was time for us to go, and it meant that we had to get off the water, get dressed, and get going.

Before we left town, Mommy and Daddy went back to Paris for some lunch (buffet!), and off we went... leaving Las Vegas!

It was a fun trip and I'm glad that Daddy took us along! Thanks, Dad!

But before I go, let me share with you all the food that I had to literally "sit through' watching Mommy and Daddy eat, but not me!

My First Visit to Las Vegas - Day 4

So before I went to bed last night, Daddy told me that he will try to leave work early today and take me to the swimming pool! Of course I'm all for it! Are you kidding me? I'm the next Michael Phelps, remember? I can't wait to hit the pool to show off a trick or two that I've learned from watching Mikey P's swimming in Beijing.

So to prepare for this big moment, I decided to take plenty of rest during the first half of the day, so that when Daddy comes back, I will be full of energy. I even thought about calling down to the hotel operator to tell them to hold all phone calls. But I didn't know what number to call for the operator, so I didn't do it.

But you know what, I over-slept! Daddy came back from work and I was still sleeping. I guess I was so excited that I was mentally drained. Fortunatley, when Daddy noticed that I was still sleeping, he woke me up right away...

Wake-up, Get Dressed, and Let's Go Swimming! from Addison Chan on Vimeo.

Swimming Pool, here I am!

But as Daddy slowly sinked me into the water, I felt something terribly wrong! The water temperature was not controlled at the Olympic Standard of 25-28C (77-82F)! It's way under that! It's way too cold for my muscles to get soaked in this kind of environment. That is not going to fly with a professional swimmer like me! Why did the hotel purposely chilled the water? I know it's hot out here, but to chill the water to this temperature level, will eventually turn away Professional Swimmers like me! I really didn't expect this to happen at a fine hotel like The Bellagio!

Swimming at The Bellagio from Addison Chan on Vimeo.

By then, I wasn't in a mood to swim anymore. Since Daddy still wanted to dip into the water for a bit, I decided to entertain him and hung out in the pool for a bit. "Just don't expect me to get into this freezing cold water!"

A short while later, we decided to head back to our room. Daddy made a dinner reservation at this French Restaurant called Mon Ami Gabi. The reservation is at 7:15pm, so we decided that we'd better get going.

What I didn't know was that this restaurant is not located at our hotel. Instead, we had walk all the way over to the Paris... the hotel, not the country. It is the hotel that we see right outside of our room. It took us about 10 minutes to walk over there. The walk was nothing; but the outside temperature was brutal!

We arrived at the restaurant and we didn't even had to wait. Daddy said it's because we have a reservation. I say it was because of my good looks! The dinner looked good and so did Daddy's glass of French Wine according to him. Right after dinner, we took some pictures of Paris on our way back to our hotel.

To conclude our evening, we stopped by Jean-Philippe Patisserie for some crepes as dessert, before heading back to our room for a good night sleep!

My First Visit to Las Vegas - Day 3

Earlier this morning, Mommy told me that she is going to take me to do some window shopping at the hotel. What window shopping? I don't want to buy a window so why are we doing window shopping? Personally, I'm just fine staying in the room jumping on the bed. This bed here seems a lot of more bouncy than the one Mommy and Daddy have at home. But since Daddy told me to look after Mommy, I guess I shouldn't tell to go window shopping alone. I just went along.

Later that day, Daddy came back from work... briefly, before heading out to a dinner meeting with his work people. We hung out at the lobby and took this cool video! There is this camera mounted on top of a minature train that runs throughout the indoor garden at the lobby. Video captured by this camera is sent to a TV screen, which is where Mommy was standing and recording this cool video footage. See if you can see Daddy and Me in these videos...

My First Visit to Las Vegas - Day 2

So after a good night sleep in my own crib that the hotel provided, I'm ready for some Vegas actions! But as soon as I woke up, I noticed that Daddy has already left for work/meetings. It means that it's down to me to show Mommy around the hotel. But before we headed out, I decided to bounce around the Mommy's bed because it seems that it was especially bouncy and comfortable.

So we headed out and let me tell you, this hotel is big! There are shops everywhere, and a very nice indoor garden. As long as I don't have to go outdoor, I'm okay with it! It's just too hot outside for my liking.

Here are some pictures that Mommy took today.

Later in the evening, Daddy finally returned from work, and immediately we headed out to dinner. We went to this place where you can eat all food you can, and you know what... the food looks very yummy! Here's a video that Daddy took while Mommy left to get more food.

Are We There Yet? Where Are We Going?

So I woke up this morning and the first thing I saw was a suitcase! The last time when I saw a suitcase sitting in my room, it was a trip to the Walt Disney World. Am I going to Walt Disney World again?

Maybe!

But of course, I have to pretend like it was not a big deal, and even pretended like I didn't even feel like going anywhere. So I had my breakfast and Daddy spent some time playing with me until around 9:30am, which is about the time when I take my first nap. But instead of taking me back to my room, Mommy took me to the car instead. Meanwhile, Daddy was busy putting the suitcase and a few other bags into the car. We are certainly going somewhere!

Shortly after, we left the house! And I soon fell asleep too!

When I woke up again, we were still in the car. Mommy was driving and Daddy was sitting next to me, half asleep. We pulled off the highway to get some food, and when Mommy pulled me off the car, I was like... "Holy cow! Where are we? This place is steaming hot!"

I had no idea where I was. All I new is that I wanted to get inside that restaurant QUICK! Once we have found a place to sit down, Mommy took me to the restroom to change my diaper. Meanwhile, Daddy continued to put his head on the table to rest. I soon learned that Daddy wasn't feeling well. As much as I wanted to ask Daddy where we are going, I didn't want to bother him too much because he didn't look like he was in a good mood.

After lunch, we headed over to the 'Star-bugs' place where Daddy continued to lay on the couch. During that time, I was totally having fun jumping up and down the couch, and getting the attention of everyone who walked by. After some time, the aroma of the coffee beans must have cured Daddy's problem, and we took off again! Thank goodness because I thought we drove all the way to this hot place just to sit at a Star-bugs.

Soon after Daddy started driving, I fell asleep again. About an hour later, we arrived at another location. I was hoping that it would be cooler outside, but when I got off the car, it was the same temperature if not worse. So where was I by then? I had no idea. All I cared was that I got to stay at an air-conditioned environment. There were shops and people everywhere at this place. But Mommy and Daddy seemed to know exactly where they wanted to go. A baby clothing store! Well, they looked and looked but they didn't see anything that they liked. So we left that place, and that mall, empty handed.

Well, maybe the shopping place was the destination. Maybe not. I didn't know. We shall find out because we were heading back to the car again!

After another quick nap, I was certain that we had arrived at our destination. How did I know? Because I saw Daddy pulling all the luggage out of the car! Again, the outside temperature is still extremely hot! I don't know why Mommy and Daddy are taking me to this place. We walked inside what appears to be a hotel. There were people everywhere and I saw Daddy walked up to a desk to sign some papers. And then we took an elevator to the 19th floor and walked into a room. A Hotel Room! And this is what the room looks like.

Hotel Room Virtual Tour: The Bellagio, Las Vegas from Anthony Chan on Vimeo.

And here's what I see when I looked out the window...

View from a Room at The Bellagio from Anthony Chan on Vimeo.

If you know where is this place, then good for you! Because I didn't! But Mommy later told me that we are in the city of Las Vegas! And we are staying at the Bellagio Hotel. The reason why we are here is because Daddy is attending a conference here. And he decided to bring us along!

Yeah! I'm staying at a hotel again!

Before we knew it, it's dark outside already and I soon found out that our room overlook a beautiful pond/fountain with dancing water!

After the water fountain show, we went downstairs for some dinner and then we returned to our room to sleep. I don't know how many days we are staying here, but I certainly look forward to some fun!

A Farewell Dinner Event

Grand-Aunt Linda and Professor Suen are concluding their U.S. visit in a few days. Today Mommy and Daddy took me to have dinner with them, and Grandma and Grandpa. I don't know why Mommy and Daddy don't wait a few more days to bid farewell to them. However, I did hear that Daddy is going somewhere in the next few days. I just don't know where.

Anyway, here are some pictures of me taken with Grandma and Grandpa. I didn't take any picture with Grand-Aunt Linda, nor Professor Suen, because they were a bit under the weather, and Grandpa instructed me to stay away from them.

Anyway, it's been a pleasure meeting Grand-Aunt Linda and Professor Suen. Also, thank you very much for all the gifts that you bought for me. With that in mind, please come back to visit me soon!

One More Happy Brithday...

Today, August 16, is also the actual birthdate of another very important person. Today is the birthday of my Grandpa, William. Although I have never met him, I'm sure he has been looking over me in the past few months, and he certainly knows if I have been naughty or nice to Mommy and Daddy!

Mommy and Daddy took me this special place today to say a prayer to him, and to wish him a Happy Birthday. As usual, I know when to pretend to be a good boy, so I was espcially quiet while I'm there. We brought pretty flowers for him, and we stayed for a bit before we took off.

Here's a picture of Daddy and my Grandpa William taken back in 2002 during his visit to the United States.

Happy Birthday, Grandpa!

PS.  Daddy said the T-shirt that Grandpa is wearing in this picture represents the Red Devils.  And I am warned that I'm not to have anything to do with the Red Devils

Grandma and Grandpa Birthday Celebration

Today, Mommy and Daddy brought me to Grandma and Grandpa's home to celebrate their birthday... ahead of time. Their birthdays were 10 days apart in August and since I'm such an efficient person, why not kill 2 birds with 1 stone?

Happy Birthday Grandma and Grandpa!

Push-ups... with 1 Arm Too!

I've been watching some Olympic Swimming events with my Dad.  He was telling me that this Michael P guy has a very good chance of breaking the 7-gold medals record, set by Spitz, with 8 gold medals.
Well, I was thinking... why 8?  Why not 9?  That's when I decided that I should start working out some of my muscles and prepare for my next swimming event.

My 9-Month Check-up!

It wasn't a bad day at all to begin with. I slept well last night; I woke up at my usual hours, and ate my usual meals at the usual time. Mommy even took some pictures of me this morning, as you can see right here.

Then, when Daddy got home from work, it was time to go see the doctor for my 9-month check-up. If you have been reading my blog in the past 9 months, you know that I never had a problem with the doctor during my visit. As usual, the nurse always find an excuse to take my diaper off, and I did the usual measurements as you can see from this video here.

And then things didn't go too well!

I heard the word 'test', and I also heard the word 'blood.' I was expecting injection shots just like the past few times. But no, the nurse didn't come into the room with needles. Instead, the nurse was taking us to another room! I knew things were getting from bad to worse as Daddy was walking around the clinic, following the nurse into another room.

I wanted to tell Daddy not to go into the room, but it was a bit late. The rest is all captured on video...

I'm telling you, they just wanted my blood to clone me. They didn't need it for any stupid test!

Update: The test came back 'normal.' Whatever!

2 Gifts. 1 Cool and 1 Not as Cool!

Yes, as you can tell, this is the not-so-cool gift that I got from Professor Suen.  During her visit to the US, she made a trip to the Bay Area last week, and she bought me this sweater from this place called Stanford University.  The 'U' word alone is bad enough.  But to add an 'S' word in front?  Are you kidding me?  Who wants to go to school, let alone an University?  And Stanford?  You have got to be kidding me!  I don't care if the tuition is paid (as offered by Professor Suen if I get admitted), studying is not my cup of tea... for now!

Anyway, the cool gift is also from Professor Suen.  She bought a pair of Burberry's Jeans from San Francisco.  It's a bit tight so my diaper-ed butt is actually showing... rather nicely.  Here are plenty of pictures of me modeling my first pair of Burberry's.  Enjoy!

And thanks to Professor Suen, and Grand-Aunt Linda for all these beautiful gifts!

08.08.08 - My First Olympic

According to Daddy, the Opening Ceremony was spectacular!  No, I didn't watch it because the ceremony started after my bed time, even though (ceremony officially began at) 8pm Beijing time is really Morning hours in L.A.  Why the delay?  It's all about money, Daddy said.  I guess it's acceptable for some to watch an historic event on a 12-hour delay, while the rest of the world is watching it Live!
Anyway, I want to make an entry to this blog in honor of this historical event.  Maybe someday I will be a Olympian too.  Hey, you never know!  Pooping burns calories too!

A New Toy!

I got this gift for a while. I was just too YOUNG to enjoy it so Mommy and Daddy put it aside until I'm ready. As you can see, I'm still not quite ready for it yet, but Daddy said I should go ahead. This cool gift was from someone formerly known as Wendy. I was told that she changes her name once every few months.

Daddy's First Birthday with Me!

It's Daddy's Birthday today! I know because he didn't go to work today, so it has to be a special day! Daddy's birthday celebration wasn't limited to just skipping work; he also celebrated his birthday by sleeping... are you ready?... 10 straight hours! What a celebration!

As for me, I woke up at my usual hours of 6-ish. I was getting all excited to wait for Daddy to wake up because I want him to see the birthday present that I bought him! Mommy and I bought him a Wii and a Wii Fit! Mommy is responsible for the Wii idea, and I was the only show suggested Wii Fit! I'm sure you can tell from some of my swimming videos that Daddy's shape has been some way off of his body from 10 years ago. With this Wii Fit, I hope I can bring his body a few years back so that he will have more energy to play with me.

We didn't take too many pictures today because all Daddy wanted to do was to stay home, rest, and to play his new toys. The phone was ringing a bit more than usual, and they were all calling to wish Daddy a Happy Birthday! Meanwhile, Mommy made some very yummy dishes for Daddy throughout the day as you can see from the pictures below.

New Tricks!

The following stunt is performed by a trained individual over a long period of time, and under close supervision of professional trainers. Don't try this at home, or alone!

Stand Up! from Addison Chan on Vimeo.

(I should NOT have shown them my new tricks because Daddy is now going to lower my bed. So to all my buddies out there... don't try this at home... in front your parents. Just do this secretly while they are not watching.)

I'm Sleeping! Don't Bother Me!

So what!? Yes, this is how I take my afternoon nap! Do I have to hire a bodyguard to stop all these photos-while-sleeping shots? And once again, I DO NOT have a sleeping problem!

I Think Some of My Photos are Available in the Black Market?

Recently, I've been hearing a lot of comments about people seeing my pictures being published before I officially publish them on this site... the official web site of Addison Chan. For example, my Grandma once asked me how come so-and-so have already seen my pictures from this-and-that.

Well, I just want to say that pictures of me found on web-site(s) other than AddisonBChan.com could be pirated, photoshop-ped, or simply taken with an imposter of Addison Chan. Think about it... Rolex watches, Louis Vuitton handbags, & etc., are status-symbols, famous, attractive, and well-known. Everybody wants to get their hands onto one of their products. But the cost of owning those products are high. That's when the knock-offs from the black market comes in and start offering counterfeited items.

The same can be applied to me. The cost of owning me... high! I'm attractive... no doubt! Famous... of course! A Status-symbol... my Daddy seems to think so. And everybody wants to hold and hug me! And when they can't, they have to turn to my pictures! So when the supply of pictures is low, and the demand is high... that's when the black market of Addison's pictures begin to surface!

So Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, be careful with where you surf your internet. If you see my pictures appearing on Social Networking sites like Facebook, Armbook, Legbook, & etc., those pictures may not be authentic. Remember, you want to go to the source... 'w' 'w' 'w' dot AdditonBChan dot com!

Here are some pictures!
