Happy Birthday, Grandpa!

Today, we went to Grandma and Grandpa's house in Riverside for an early birthday celebration for Grandpa.  We had an early celebration because Grandpa's actual birthday will be this coming Friday.  So instead of a belated celebration, we decided for an early one.

We brought a very yummy looking birthday cake for Grandpa, as well as a gift.  After a fun day running around the house and around the front/back yard, I was finally given the chance to present to Grandpa what we have prepared for him.  Here are some pictures that we took from the day.  Can’t you tell that I’m more of a gift to Grandpa, then the actual gift itself?

First Meeting with Megan

Remember Aiden?  I was at his Birthday Party back in January.  This is his sister, Megan.  Her Mom and her Aunt came to visit us today at our house.

She's about 2 months old and I can already tell that she wants me to take her out to watch this...

Not so fast, Cute Face.  I need to take my sister first!

My Second Football Practice

Remember this?  This was about a week ago when I was practicing football with Daddy for the first time.  Since then, I have had many mini-practices with Daddy after he came home from work, and I'm proud to report that my technical skills have vastly improved since then.  The improvement is so great that Daddy decided that I'm now good enough to wear something more serious for this weekend's practice!

Remember Uncle Steven who visited us from last November?  Along with the Chelsea shirt (that Daddy disliked so much), he also brought me this smart looking England kit!  And this is what I got to wear yesterday!  Can you believe that?  I'm actually wearing the same shirt that...

So what kind of practice did I do this time?  Well, I started off with some stretching exercise as warm up...

Then I immediately started asking for the ball!  "Give me that ball!"

Give me that ball!

I got the ball!

Here, Daddy was showing me how to beat the offside trap with anticipation, vision, and skills...

Beating the Offside Trap!

There were times that I really wondered who taught Daddy how to play Football.  His passing was confusing, if not frustrating, at times...

What the...?

Over here, Daddy and I were discussing who is to take this next freekick.  He was begging for it, but I just pretended like I couldn't hear him talk (as usual.)  Determination, with a eye for goal!

I'm going to take this freekick, not you!

And here is one of Daddy's favorite picture of me dirbbling...

Dribbling!

And if any of you think that this picture above is 'staged', and that I really couldn't dribble the ball at 18-months old, just watch this...

Yup!  I have just re-defined what U-20 really means!

You've seen Daddy's favorite picture.  Here's my pick!

Happy 2nd Mother's Day!

DSC_4564Edited

Dear Mommy (and Grandmas),

Happy Mother's Day!  Just look at this picture.  No, you don't have to say Thank You.  And I love you too!

Love,

Addison

Okay, stop starring at my picture!  It's not THAT great!  In fact, when this picture was taken, it was late in the evening after we went out to have dinner with both Grandmas.

Mommy, Daddy, and Myself took Grandpa's and Grandma's out for dinner tonight.  Although today is not really Mother's Day (it's tomorrow!), we decided we want to be wise, and didn't want to join the crowd.  So we took them out to Roy's Restaurant for an early Mother's celebration.  Below is a video of the Grandma's opening their Mother's Day presents from me.

So after a 2 hour long dinner, we went home.  But I was already sound asleep in the car on our way home.  And when I woke up again, I realized I was already sitting in my high chair at home, in the kitchen area.  The next thing I knew, Daddy's camera was clicking non-stop.  Here are some pictures that came from that late night photo shoot.

I didn't get to go to sleep until really late.  But I'm sure it's worth it because today is Mother's Day!

Once again, Happy Mother's Day, Mommy!

Laughs Help My Digestion

Okay?

Alright, I'll be honest.  I don't even remember why I was laughing.  I was either very tired... to a point that I thought everything is funny, or I was just trying to laugh my way out of finishing that bowl of rice.  You can just pick one of these 2 reasons for me.

And here are some pictures...

I Turned 18 Today!

That is 18th Month Old!

Yes, can you believe that?  No one remembered my birthday, again!  And I'm not even expecting them to call wish me a Happy Birthday.  All I want is some birthday presents!  Is that asking for too much?

So how did I celebrate my birthday today?  Well, I celebrated my birthday by allowing Daddy to take these few shots of me.

What else?  Mommy baked me a very yummy Japanese style Cheese Cake.

Yup, that's it!  So, it's not too late to send in your gifts now!

Happy Birthday to me!

It's Not My Video, nor My Blog. It's Your Computer!

My GMail in-box is flooded with emails asking me why the swimming pool video taken from the Las Vegas trip cannot be played.  Well, when you first bought the computer that you used to watch the video, was Daddy still single, skinny, and good looking?  I thought so!  That's why!

Backed by popular demand, I have re-uploaded the same video to YouTube, instead of Vimeo.  The reason why it went to Vimeo in the first place is because YouTube claimed that I have violated its copyright policy with the used of the song playing in the background.  So what they did was to mute the entire audio track.  Since I thought the background song/music sort of fit into this video, and I don't want it to be removed, I uploaded the same 'MTV' to Vimeo instead.

But now that my Readers are telling me that their computer is so outdated and slow that HD-quality video cannot be played, I guess I'll re-broadcasted it to YouTube, without the song.  Here's the video.

My First Visit to the Emergency Room

DSC_4893

I fell backwards from my own (little kids) chair, hit the back of my head, and then my nose was bleeding.  What's the big deal?  Yet, Daddy insisted to take me to the Hospital.  What was he thinking?  He must have watched too many movies... like the one below. (To save you some time, jump/start from the 2 min 36 seconds mark and you'll know what I'm talking about.)

And if you also happen to think like my Dad, watch this video below, taken while waiting at the ER, and see if you agree with me, or my Daddy.

Did I look like I was suffering from some kind of head trauma?

Anyway, after about 2 hours of waiting, my name was finally called.  (So much for being at an Emergecy room when I have to wait for 2 hours!)  The Doctor came to look at me.  Asked the following questions:

  1. Did he lose consciousness?
    Dad: No.
  2. Did he vomit?
    Mom: No.
  3. When did he fell?
    Mom: Around 6 p.m
  4. Did he asked to ride on a motorcycle?
    Dad:  No.
  5. He's good to go.  I'm going to discharge him.  Schedule an appointment with his primary physician tomorrow for follow up.
    Me:  Told you so!

Addison's First Football Practice

I've done enough indoor football practice inside the house that, today, Daddy took me outside for some 'grass-root' football.

Not being too familiar with surface, I was a bit hesitant in the beginning to dribble.  Meanwhile, Daddy somehow thought that he still has the lungs to run around, that he almost passed-out.  He was totally on the ground, and I had to pull him up, and to give him some encouragement.  The video below is a bit long... but if you hang in there till the end, you'll see how I helped Daddy 'to stand on his feet!'

Here are some photos.
